LOEWE Specialist Library for Conflict Resolution

  • The LOEWE Specialist Library for Conflict Resolution was set up at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences using funds from the LOEWE Research Focus, in order to encourage the transfer of knowledge. It supports research, teaching, practical application and degree studies by providing specialist literature, while also promoting information literacy on the topic of ‘extrajudicial and judicial conflict resolution’. Its stocks may be of interest to academics, practitioners in the justice system, lawyers, chambers of industry and trade, chambers of crafts, experts in judicial and extrajudicial mediation, and for students.

    The LOEWE Specialist Library for Conflict Resolution is home to comprehensive specialist literature from the fields of legal history, legal sociology, legal sciences and historic sciences, and practice-orientated literature (books, manuals, commentaries, monographs, journals, electronic resources), all on the topic of ‘extrajudicial and judicial conflict resolution’. The LOEWE Specialist Library contains both older literature and series of recently-published monographs and books, including North American specialist literature. The focuses of the collection include mediation, judicial mediation, economic mediation, conflict management, negotiation technique, alternative dispute resolution: negotiation, mediation, arbitration (USA), international arbitration, arbitration and litigation proceedings.
